Snow on the ground but not very deep
Much darker at this time than it was previously
Heard birds chirping in the distance
Looked for tracks in the snow but couldn't find any
Saw a squirrel on the way there, expected to see more but did not

No tracks at all? Any leaves on any trees? Anything appear different because of the snow. Keep observing!
